You need to sell the dream.

If your hook sounds something like this, you're doing it all wrong:

"Here is my morning skincare routine"

"Here are 3 tips for saving money"

Instead, you should be trying to imagine what your viewers want and what their "dream state" would be.

So for the sake of this thread let's imagine that the viewer is a woman dealing with eyebags every morning.

Your hook should look something like this:

"I finally got rid of my morning eyebags... Here's the morning skincare routine I used."

Another example:

So instead of "Here are 3 tips for saving money" Maybe the viewer's dream state is owning a brand-new car.

Well, let's sell them the dream.

Your hook should look like this:

"Want to buy a brand new car? Here are 3 money-saving hacks"

See what we did there?

We just hit them on a psychological, emotional level.

Now they are more intrigued to finish watching the rest of the video.
